Laser Treatment for Veins

Diminish the appearance of face and leg veins without surgery. Laser treatment for leg veins, port wine stains and spider veins.

What causes leg veins, port wine stains and spider veins?

There are a variety of causes, including:

Klippel-Trenaunay syndrome – A rare, congenital disorder that causes a red port wine stain birthmark, varicose veins and hypertrophy of one limb. The cause is unknown, but theories include problems with blood vessel development during pregnancy.

Venous insufficiency – A condition that occurs when the one-way valves inside veins malfunction, causing swelling, discoloration, and discomfort. Symptoms include varicose veins, spider veins, port wine stains and rosacea.

Vascular lesions – Abnormal formation of blood vessels close to the skin’s surface. Spider veins are small and web-like, while port wine stains are larger, flat, and purplish-red.

How does laser treatment for veins work?

Vein treatments use advanced laser technology to target and destroy the blood vessels responsible for prominent veins, causing them to visibly disappear. Since the laser targets the blood vessels within the vein, there is minimal or no damage to the outer layer of skin.

The light emitted by the laser is absorbed by the blood in the targeted vein. The blood then heats up and causes the vein to collapse. The vein closes and scar tissue forms, sealing it off. The body eventually absorbs the vein and reroutes blood to nearby veins.

The procedure typically takes less than an hour. Patients usually experience little to no pain during the procedure. After treatment, you might feel some discomfort or pulling in the area, but this usually settles down within a week.

After treatment, the area might be red, swollen and bruised for a few hours. You might also feel a stinging sensation. You can use a cool pack to soothe any irritation. To promote healing, you can wear SPF and keep the area out of the sun.

Clarity II

While the 755 nm and 1064 nm wavelengths of the CLARITY laser system are less-absorbed in hemoglobin than the 532-595 nm wavelengths, the longer near-infrared wavelengths are able to penetrate deeper into the skin, offering more effective vessel heating per energy unit. In particular, the 1064 nm long-pulsed Nd:YAG laser is most frequently used to treat the majority of vascular lesions, including telangiectasias, thick and thin blood vessels, varicose veins, and blue blood vessels. With lower melanin absorption and better penetration into the skin, clinicians can target blood vessels located deeper in the skin. Although 755 nm long-pulsed alexandrite lasers have reasonable absorption in hemoglobin, they are not able to penetrate so deeply into the skin to target deeply located blood vessels owing to the presence of epidermal melanin as a competing chromophore. Thus, 755 nm long-pulsed alexandrite lasers are mainly used to remove superficial blood vessels, such as in telangiectasia, along the nose on light skintypes. In addition, the ICD and air cooling modes provided by the CLARITY laser system can be safely and readily used to reduce pain during any procedure.

Derma V

DermaV is the only Digitally-Powered 532/1064nm device that delivers energy at optimal fluences and varying pulse widths. When uniquely combined with larger spot sizes and the most effective skin cooling available, undesirable vascular and pigmented lesions stand no chance.

The best wavelength : 532nm for better absorption than 595nm or 585nm for hemoglobin and 62 % Higher Fluence at ALL Pulse durations and Spot Sizes vs Latest 532/1064nm for higher effectiveness of vascular treatments.

DermaV introduces Variable Sequential Pulsing (VSP) to effectively treat a wide variety of indications, including lesions resistant to current technologies. It covers ALL vascular indications from Port wine stain and hemangioma to leg veins.

Effective skin cooling : Cryogen has much better cooling rate and Special selectivity compared to other cooling systems. World 1st Cryogen supported 532nm/1064nm system for better skin protection. Provide more effective and comfortable treatments with minimal side effects.
